UNI HOBBY, a significant player in the home and garden improvement market, partnered with the Marketup agency in 2019 to manage its marketing campaigns. Over six years, they achieved more than fivefold revenue growth while halving their PNO (cost-to-revenue ratio), despite major external challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, changes in consumer behavior, and economic fluctuations.

The Key to Effective Growth: Performance Marketing, Brand Building, and Collaboration

From the beginning of our collaboration, we specialized in performance marketing. However, starting in 2022, we began implementing brand campaigns that enhanced both performance and brand awareness.

2020: The COVID-19 pandemic year brought significant changes in shopping habits and a sharp shift of customers to online channels. With an investment exceeding CZK 5 million, revenues more than quadrupled to nearly CZK 190 million, while PNO dropped to 3.6%.

2021: A year of gradual recovery and company adaptation. An increased investment of over CZK 9 million resulted in revenues of CZK 310 million and a record-low PNO of 3.0%.

2022: The challenging economic situation and rising inflation impacted customers' purchasing power, yet with an investment of approximately CZK 10 million, revenues reached CZK 196 million while maintaining PNO at 5.6%.

2023: Economic stabilization and a return of consumer optimism led to growing revenues, reaching nearly CZK 200 million with an investment of CZK 13 million and PNO at 6.7%.

2024: Despite ongoing market uncertainties, such as fluctuating customer sentiment, we managed to reduce PNO to 5.7% with an expenditure of CZK 13 million and achieved revenues exceeding CZK 230 million.
